As the first Race Director of the 1987 Ultra distance triathlon in Forster-Tuncurry NSW - later to become Ironman Australia - I continued in the role for the next 25+ years which included race directing the Ironman Western Australia, created in 2004.

These are my stories and a personal history of Ironman in Australia, extending over 30 years until my retirement in 2014. I hope you will enjoy reading of my experiences.
